Connect an agent
In your chat
Browse The Curator’s published finds with your agent. No ChatGPT account, Curator account, API key or sign-in is required.
Try this:
Visit https://curatorapproved.com and use its connection instructions to connect to The Curator. Show me the latest finds. If MCP is unavailable, use the public JSON catalog.
Connection setup depends on your app; it may ask you to approve a new server.
Connection
- Server URL
https://curatorapproved.com/api/mcp- Transport
- Streamable HTTP
- Authentication
- None
Add this remote server through your app’s MCP settings using the complete URL above. The endpoint accepts MCP POST requests; opening it in a browser is not a connection test.
What it does
Search the collection, inspect exact product details, and show selected finds as cards in a compatible chat app.
search_curator— search public facts, categories and recorded USD prices.get_curator_item— retrieve one find by its ID.render_curator_items— show selected IDs as cards.
Cards require a host that supports MCP Apps. The search and detail tools also return readable data without cards. Prices are dated observations, not live offers; unknown prices never mean free.
The tools are read-only. They cannot purchase, edit or publish items, access private research, or save a permanent wishlist.
Your saved finds
Keep this site open in the browser where you saved your finds. In a browser that supports agent tools, ask: “Read my saved Curator finds from this tab.”
The page offers get_saved_curator_items, a read-only browser tool. It reads the current Saved list and public item details, without uploading saves to The Curator. The remote MCP server cannot read browser saves.
Saves are separate in each browser profile and site origin. Your agent receives the items it reads. If you need processing to stay on your computer too, use a local agent. You can also open Saved → Share with my agent to copy a selected brief or download JSON.
Configuration
If your app uses a JSON configuration file, this is an illustrative example. Field names and file locations differ by client; use your app’s documented format.

The descriptor is Curator-specific connection information, not a universal auto-install standard.
If MCP is unavailable, read the public catalog · JSON and its schema, or browse the website. Preserve dated prices, unknowns, exact configurations and referral disclosures.
